Rebound relationships seldom make it for the long haul because grieving the death of relationship is similar to a loved one dying. When I interviewed a man who had been re-married for 20 plus years he simply stated that he regretted not being alone before starting to date again. Loneliness has a way of interfering with our ability to stand on our own two legs and love ourselves.

This is so true I learned this years ago after a divorce. God helped me find out who I am and how capable I am with Him. Even when I mess up His love and care for me are so amazing. Not like people who can be so unforgiving and critical. I learned and I am still learning the character and nature of God as a loving father and husband. I am married now but God in my life is#1 and this helps me love my husband through God. When women talk to me about being alone, I encourage them to enjoy this time; especially if they have a relationship with God. I tell them to use this time to become intimate with God and you will not be disappointed.
