I grew up on 1810 Liberty Rd and received the scripture Matt 18:10 about three years ago when I was reconciling my heart to my Father in heaven and my earthly one. These truths can break down damage done in childhood but only when inner healing takes place. Much of my own journey has utilized psychotherapy modalities like IFS for the sake of living out liberty and freedom from religious mindsets and family stigma. Abuse is underlying to so many of our coping mechanisms, including church, staying busy, ruminating, performance or longing for love. If you are mourning Father’s Day because you did not receive the acceptance or blessing from your father, let this scripture remind you that parts within you have a right to be sad, confused, lonely or whatever emotion they carry if they are still holding onto harsh treatment from childhood. God understands the reason behind bad behavior and the cycles that reproduce wounding. But it is possible however to address what “daddy issues” remain unhealed so that true liberty can be lived from this moment forward. I have sought and found forgiveness with my dad on this earth and I impart that same hope, blessing and revelation to all who are pained this Father’s day. Redemption for you both is possible.
Matthew 18:10 “Take heed that you do not despise one of these little ones, for I say to you that in heaven their angels always see the face of My Father who is in heaven”. Jesus
