God asks you to give up you to be more than you thought you could be. Live in the reality of heaven knowing it doesn’t matter what people think of you. Be possessed by the Holy Spirit and the expectation of others possessing love toward you will disappear. Self preservation may feel like a protective measure but it hurts you because it is not the Gospel, it is your ego wanting to inhibit true connection with your spirit man and inner child.
Can you imagine Jesus getting off the cross and saying, “they have hurt me, I’m not gonna take this”, that would be ridiculous. It was His ability to sacrifice Himself so we could live, to die is gain because we will suffer as He did.
Get swallowed up by God and celebrate Him. That may sound like ridiculousness to a world of doers and naysayers, but the richness of relationship tells on itself. When two people are communicating intimately it shows in public, produces a crowd to either gossip or draw closer. Most people want a relationship to live for yet misunderstand the cultivation of connection requires ridiculous amounts of time in each other’s presence. Let people gravitate toward you for the sake of sharing what He has done during your private prayer time and let Him fight for His own reputation. You don’t need to protect yours if you have His blood pumping through your veins because it’s warm, vibrant and red with passion. If He comes into a room it is because you change the atmosphere by housing His spirit and embodying His nature. Your life in Him is who you are and it claims your identity. Daddy God wants to live in your heart.
Love is worth dying for, and people will live for the thing they love. God is the thing that every human longs to possess even if they don’t know it yet. Be Him to others.
