Acting out historical pain

I’m passionate about truth and sharing revelation with whoever will sit and listen, but I only speak to those who have an ear. For years I wasted time and energy trying to spiritually educate church goers about the supernatural ability to be the light in darkness, and realized they would rather be activists. Topics like politics, abortion, saving turtles and preaching on the Ten Commandments became so dry and mundane for me because there was no life. Warnings about who I listened to, how I spoke and what I did bogged me down with performance that my Savior came to relinquish me from. Sad to say, church is impotent to the battles of the spiritual realm because the comforts of the world vie for so much attention that is distracts from gaining power in the unseen.

When you believe that your sin isn’t as bad as the next guy, you have crossed into dangerous narcissistic territory. When you believe that your cause should be supported by friends otherwise they are deemed enemies, Christianity has certainly fallen off a cliff, far from your curiosity. Without the compassion of Christ, we would put down anyone who misbehaved according to our limited perspective and we might miss the connection available to another through understanding. The crux of all shame is condemnation because someone has to be right and find fault with the other guy in order to introduce self-righteous indignation. Entitlement and offense is the biggest shame loop for scapegoating that politics, pharma and education prey upon to entice the masses to fight each other on their behalf. It would be a shame if believer’s reacted in that same fashion, gaslighting others when they have their own sins tucked away behind closed doors.

I’m sure that the part of you who needs some sex outside of marriage doesn’t define you anymore than my sarcastic part defines me when I’m holding a drink in my hand and making fun of elitists who think their sobriety is the only position which matters. From a personal point of view I must hold onto laughter as a remedy because listening to polarized views within a person is not for the weak and feeble. Every individual has many parts which need to be loved and not judged for the sake of true freedom, which makes discernment applicable to history’s failed attempts at peacemaking. It is from my own freedom that I don’t worry about upsetting parts in another and allow her to judge from those areas of depravity that have yet to be unburdened. I can recognize that hiding behind a grid-iron gate is really protection from being condemned for what someone is afraid of personally being found out about. That same thought is what are systems of society have “bet on” to breed fear and keep the fearless from openly professing their weaknesses without concern of popularity. It would be my hope for all that seek the need to be heard and validated, to do so, without the belief that being right is paramount. Woe be to the self-righteous, especially when empathy toward personal struggle is foreign.

I think Jesus understood all of the parts within that are conflicted over circumstances which have us act out. He drew a line in the sand for a reason, if your sin doesn’t matter than please pick up a stone of judgment and wield it against another. Laying down activism could get the understanding you are looking for.
