Sowing into Sorgoson, Philippines

I’m taking a moment to share a testimony about little ol’ me and my waitressing days.  I was 23 working at The Cheesecake Factory in Baltimore Maryland and seeing miracles daily.  Of course, I only worked three nights out of the week because I was an autistic therapist by day, but nonetheless, prayers ushered in the supernatural through the most mundane ways.  Homeless people would charge toward the patio tables and swipe burgers off of customers plates and scurry away with their loot.  Drunk people would demand more alcohol and repeat offenders would return weekly to complain about their food just so they could get it for free after their bellies were full.  It was ripe with spiritual activity because psychics were paid to determine the location of our restaurant and often came in to dine, or should I say wreak havoc for us servers.  Because my spirit was a stench in their nostrils, I  smiled my way through their demands and ignored them knowing that Daddy in Heaven protected me from undue stress.  I was at liberty to choose who I expended my energy toward and my boss Glen, found particular favor in my sight because he was always smiling.
Glen was also an assignment, one of my first because I had recently become a Christian and was learning to obey the leading of the Holy Spirit.  As we were carrying dishes back to the kitchen from the tables, I looked at Glen and said, “You are going to be a Pastor one day”.  He gave me his infamous smile and kindly negated that he didn’t think so.  I had no idea what prophecy was yet and believed at that time that my gifting was healing evangelism because seeing healing manifest after I prayed for my tables became an expectation every shift I worked.  Now the exploits were great, so much so that the psychics started kicking up dirt to soil my reputation and complained.  I had another table pull on my apron string and accuse me of being racist when I grabbed it from dropping on the floor and raising my hand toward their table for balance.  That seemed like a blatant smear of the enemy but the final blow was when I stopped serving a table drinks when their speech was slurred.  That was it, three strikes in one week and I was out.  My friend Khori wanted me to prepare my defense when I came in for my last shift but Daddy God had already given me a dream telling me to write a letter of thanks for employment as I was going to be dismissed.
Sure enough, the General Manager took me into the lobby of the swanky mall Cheesecake Factory spilled out into, and asked me, “What, are you going to be a preacher someday?  I really like you and have no problems with you, but I have to fire you”.  I hugged him and handed the letter over.  I left with a heavy heart but trusting that my first assignment from heaven would be the first of many.  Now I did indeed continue my quest of serving The Lord and was led into the stream of healing through Global Awakening where I eventually went to ministry school.  It was almost 15 years later from my firing at The Cheesecake Factory when lo and behold, I look over and see Glen worshiping at the altar.  My mouth dropped open in amazement and I ran over to him.  He saw me immediately and said, “Do you remember prophesying over me that I would be a Pastor?” And of course I was like, “YES, I do!”  And he said, “I’m a Pastor and missionary to the Philippines!”  We hugged while excitement ensued and overtook our spirits with laughter.  It was such good news to be re-united and learn that God used little ol’ me to speak truth into someones life all those years ago.
After the re-uniting, Glen and I picked back up where we left off with friendship and have ministered together in the states when he returns for refreshment.  His ministry is to equip young men with leadership skills through daily discipleship as a teacher, mentor and Pastor.  The need for money to pay for food, shelter large enough to sustain his growing community and transportation across miles between cities is ever deepening.  In April of 2020 he is expected to minister to over 500 youth in Sorsogon where his men and volunteers will introduce signs and wonders through hope and prayer.  This is an event where I wish to give prophetic insight and healing evangelism as gifts for another assignment.  I cannot do it without your help.  The $4,000 needed is to cover my transportation which is a fraction of the cost for supplies, food and water during this outpouring of Gods blessing to His children.  The heart Glen has for the orphans in his land is much the same as mine for those in the Foster Care System in America where I volunteer.  I am asking for your investment to help Glen and I partner in enlarging territory for the spiritual realm that connects us through Christ.    The link below is the best way to give.  May The Lord smile upon you.
